A few people have asked how to add shortcuts to add-ons in the main menu and also how to add shortcuts to sections within add-ons to submenu of the Aeon Nox 5 skin.
So here is a basic guide that will show you how to add a link to Google Music to your main menu and how to add a link to the New Releases in the Google Music submenu. This should give you an idea on how you can do it with any other add-on you wish to add to the main menu and populate its submenu.
- From your Home Screen select Settings (cog icon top left)
- Select Skin Settings
- Select Customization > Setup the Aeon Nox Main Menu
- In the left habd side you will see all the current items in your Main Menu
- Highlight one of them and then use the navigation button on your remote/keyboard to move to the right and select the + sign
- You will now see a new section underneath called ❮None❯
- Scroll down and highlight ❮None❯
- Select Choose item for menu
- Scroll down and select Add-ons
- Now select the type of add-on you want. I will select Video add-ons
- Once you choose a video add-on it will open up and you can either select to Create menu item here which will just open the add-on or you can choose a section from the add-on such as Movies, TV Shows etc. so it goes to that certain section instead
- Once you have clicked on Create menu item here you will see that ❮None❯ has changed to either the name of the add-on or the section of the add-on you have chosen
- Select Set label and change it to any name you want
- You can now also select Manage submenu and then add items to the menu item you just created. You will also see options for widgets. Get playing around with them too and pimp the fuck out of your personal Kodi build
